Auli Uttarakhand: Auli is a beautiful ski resort and hill station in the Himalayan mountains, located in the Chamoli district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Auli is also known as Auli Bugyal, which means “meadow” in Garhwali. The Garhwal Himalaya has clean steep slopes that make this scenic hill town a favorite skiing destination among tourists. It is also famous for its artificial snowfall and hence it is a

major ski resort to enjoy the best of the skiing experience. Its slopes attract both professional skiers and novices. Various flowering species are found in the valley between the months of June and October, many of which are also important flowering plants of the endangered species. It has a panoramic view of the Himalayan mountain peaks. It is surrounded by coniferous and oak forests.

Clusters of oak and cedar trees are spread throughout the slope, which reduces wind velocity and ensures a truly smooth ski ride. In addition, it has a foot chair lift and a ski lift that connects the lower and upper mountain slopes and can take you up to the summit in one stroke. It is an ideal place for all adventure sports lovers.

If you can’t go skiing, you can see the most mesmerizing scenes of sublime mountain ranges like Nanda Devi and Mana Parvat. It is situated at an altitude of about 2,800 meters (9,200 ft) above sea level. The Uttarakhand Tourism Department organizes winter sports competitions in Auli to encourage skiing in India. The training facility of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police is also present here. A small Hindu temple associated with the Hindu epic Ramayana also exists.

What is the best time to visit Auli?

Auli is one of the best places for skiing in Uttarakhand. The time between December to March is the best for skiing. However, the weather is good all year round for tourism other than skiing.
