Auli Uttarakhand: Auli is a beautiful ski resort and hill station in the Himalayan mountains, located in the Chamoli district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Auli is also known as Auli Bugyal, which means “meadow” in Garhwali. The Garhwal Himalaya has clean steep slopes that make this scenic hill town a favorite skiing destination among tourists. The Uttarakhand Tourism Department organizes winter sports competitions in Auli to encourage skiing in India. The training facility of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police is also present here. A small Hindu temple associated with the Hindu epic Ramayana also exists.
